Military Appreciation Day

The Cape Lookout Shootout King Mackerel Tournament Series is proud to support The Military Appreciation Day (MAD) organization. “Thanking those who serve America.”

Founded in 2006 in North Carolina, MAD is the largest “Take The Troops Fishing” event in the USA. Dozens and dozens of 100% volunteer boaters take Active Duty service members from all Branches out for a fun day of ocean fishing. Back on land the families are treated to a fun filled day of activities and it is all topped off by a big Southern Style BBQ. “Thanking Those Who Serve America” - Learn more.
